Monitoring and Enforcement of Parking Restriction/ 20-mph Speed Limit and introducing a school street scheme – Windsor Drive and Ridgeway Avenue EN4
We, the undersigned request Barnet Council to take action to protect residents and pedestrians in the area of Ridgeway Avenue and Windsor Drive.
We welcome te 20 mph limit and the parking restrictions but with no monitoring and enforcement it is being widely ignored. This should include introducing a school street scheme, as there have been numerous complaints about the school run traffic, causing mayhem, noise/air pollution and where residents are often trapped in their own homes as driveways/car access roads are blocked. In the first instance a meeting of Highways, residents and local councillors should be set up to devise plans that will improve the situation for local residents, encourage walking to schools and enhance the safety of pedestrians, especially children.
