Area Committee Funding – Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) & Road Safety and Parking Fund update pdf icon PDF 181 KB

The Chair welcomed the report which set out the CIL budget and Road Safety & Parking budget allocations for the West Area Committee and the status of current schemes.

 

RESOLVED that the West Area Committee:

1.     Notes the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funding available for allocation during 2023/24, as set out in paragraph 5.4 of this report and in Appendix 1.

 

2.     Notes the CIL amount and re-allocated underspends & overspends in paragraph 1.7 of this report and in Appendix 1.

 

3.     Notes the Road Safety & Parking Fund available for allocation during 2023/24 in paragraph 5.8 and as set out in Appendix 2.

The West Area Committee considered the following requests as highlighted in section 1 of the report:

 

Cllr Humayune Khalick - The New West Hendon 60+ Project

 

The Chair introduced the application and the benefits it would serve to both the Colindale South and West Hendon wards.

 

Cllr Chakraborty presented the application highlighting its benefits.

 

Further to a discussion, the Committee voted unanimously to approve the application. 

 

RESOLVED that the West Area Committee awards funding of £9,360 and any conditions attached and notes the implications to the Committee’s NCIL funding budget.

 

 

 

Cllr Andreas Ioannidis - Centre of Excellence

 

Cllr Ioannidis presented the application highlighting the benefits it would provide to the Somali community.

 

Further to a discussion, the Committee voted unanimously to approve the application. 

 

RESOLVED that the West Area Committee awards funding of £ 14,990 and any conditions attached and notes the implications to the Committee’s NCIL funding budget.

 

 

 

Cllr Sara Conway - Montrose Skate Park – Keep Rolling Project

 

Cllr Conway presented the application on behalf of the community using the facility.

 

Further to a discussion, the Committee voted unanimously to approve the application. 

 

RESOLVED that the West Area Committee awards funding of £33,810 and any conditions attached and notes the implications to the Committee’s NCIL funding budget.
