RESOLVED that the minutes of the meeting held on 28 March 2023 be agreed as a correct record.

Apologies were received from Councillor Phil Cohen who was substituted by Councillor Edith David.

Area Committee Funding - Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) & Road Safety and Parking Fund update pdf icon PDF 181 KB

The Chair noted that within section 5.4 of the report there was an error in the figure presented which should be £472, 274 available, taking into account overspend from the last financial year.

 

RESOLVED that:

 

 

1. That the North Area Committee noted the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funding available for allocation during 2023/24, as set out in paragraph 5.4 of this report and in Appendix 1.

 

2.That the North Area Committee noted the CIL amount and re-allocated underspends & overspends in paragraph 1.7 of this report and in Appendix 1.

 

3.That the North Area Committee noted the Road Safety & Parking Fund available for allocation during 2023/24 in paragraph 5.8 and as set out in Appendix 2.

The Chair introduced the item and noted that 4 applications had been received as tabled in section 1 of the report. This had been circulated to members and published on the Councils website.

 

Whetstone – Bicycle repair & pump stands –Ella Rose

 

Councillor Ella Rose gave a verbal representation in support of the application.

 

RESOLVED that the North Area Committee having considered the application decided to award funding fully for £16,847 and any conditions attached noting the implications to the Committee’s NCIL funding budget.

 

 

Mill Hill – Tree Planting – Val Duschinsky

 

Councillor Val Duschinsky gave a verbal representation in support of the application.

 

RESOLVED that the North Area Committee having considered the application decided to award funding fully for £35,000 and any conditions attached noting the implications to the Committee’s NCIL funding budget.

 

 

Mill Hill – Mill Hill Park Childrens playground – Elliot Simberg

 

Councillor Elliot Simberg gave a verbal representation in support of the application.

 

RESOLVED that the North Area Committee having considered the application decided to award funding fully for £25,000 and any conditions attached noting the implications to the Committee’s NCIL funding budget.

 

 

Underhill – Buggy Park & Ramps – Tim Roberts

 

Councillor Tim Roberts gave a verbal representation in support of the application.

 

The Chair noted that this request for funding would also help with disability access and not just buggies and prams and would be used by fathers and different parents and not just mothers.

 

RESOLVED that the North Area Committee having considered the application decided to award funding fully for £4,900 and any conditions attached noting the implications to the Committee’s NCIL funding budget.
