25/03/2021 - Award of the Play Contract to Kompan ref: 8631    Recommendations Approved

Authorisation to award a three year contract, with the option to extend for a further 12 months subject to budget and performance, to Kompan Ltd to design, supply and install play equipment across the Borough.  The contract is titled Large Projects, Play Area Schemes, Equipment and Supplies (also referred to as the Play Contract) contract ref 702247.

The Council carried out a mini competition under Lot 2 – Playground Equipment – Larger Authority/Large Projects of the ESPO Framework 115_17 Outdoor Play Areas following which it has been decided that the contract should be awarded to Kompan Ltd.

Decision:

Pursuant to Decision Item 10 ‘Enabling Digital Infrastructure’, at Housing and Growth Committee on Monday 14th September 2020, the Committee delegated authority to the Director of Growth to enter into overarching commercial agreements for the implementation of broadband infrastructure.

This report follows the previous approval of a Wayleave Framework Agreement that agreed terms for the submission and approval of wayleaves relating to the supply of broadband infrastructure.  In addition, it included approval for the future delegation of decisions regarding wayleave agreements to any Director, Assistant Director or Head of Service with relevant responsibility for housing.

This delegated report confirms the approval to sign a wayleave with Community Fibre Limited for the installation of Gigabit Broadband services in the following areas:

(i)    Longford Court (ward: Hendon), and adjacent addresses:

25/03/2021 - Brent Cross Cricklewood Scheme - Land Acquisition Strategy ref: 7596    Recommendations Approved

This report approves the next phase of the land acquisition strategy to acquire the remaining interests within the lands identified on CPO 1 and CPO 2 confirmed by the Secretary of State on the 7 December 2017 and CPO 3 as confirmed on 15 May 2018 (“the CPO Order Lands”) to deliver comprehensive regeneration of the Brent Cross Regeneration Scheme and authorises the making and execution  of the General Vesting Declarations (GVDs) and  making and service of  Notices to Treat (NTTs)   for those properties referred to within the Schedule  attached at Appendix 1 in accordance with the delegations provided by the Housing and Growth Committee on 25 January 2021.
