The Overview and Scrutiny Committee (other
than the Call-In Sub-Committee) will have the following roles:

To consider any decisions of the West London Economic Prosperity
Board which have been called in.
·
Policy Development and Review – by supporting the Council and
Executive in developing the policy framework and budget for the
Council, working with partner organisations on issues that may be
outside the remit of the Council and reviewing and/or scrutinising
decisions made or actions taken in connection with the discharge of
any of the Council’s functions;
·
Service Reviews - by making reports and/or recommendations to the
full Council, Executive, Portfolio Holders and any Joint or Area
Committees on any of their functions;
·
Review of Issues of Concern to Local People by considering any
matter affecting the area or its inhabitants and monitoring and
scrutinising the activities of others;
·
Pre-Decision Scrutiny following consideration of the Key Decision
Schedule (Forward Plan) and with the agreement of the Executive, to
scrutinise key decisions prior to them being made;
·
Performance Review - to receive selected monitoring reports
(including KPI, financial performance and risk information) in
relation to internally and externally delivered services.
·
Scrutiny of Partners – to review or scrutinise the
performance of anybody carrying out any function on behalf of or in
partnership with the Council.
·
The Call-In Sub-Committees may call in Executive decisions made but
not yet implemented.
