Before the minutes were considered the Chair welcomed everyone in attendance.

 

The minutes of the CLLC Sub Committee meeting held on 19 January 2022 were approved as an accurate record.

Councillor Jenifer Grocock made a personal declaration in relation to item 8.  She noted that one of the supporting residents in attendance was known to her.   Councillor Grocock took part in the consideration and voting process.

The Governance Officer presented the key elements from the report and highlighted the main points, based on the statutory criteria set out in the Localism Act 2011, and the evidence provided in the nomination.

 

 

 The Sub Committee RESOLVED unanimously:

 

That the Sub-Committee agreed that New Bevan Community Church, Grove Road, Barnet EN4 9DF should be removed as an Asset of Community Value and removed from the Council’s Register, as it no longer meets the statutory criteria set out in the Localism Act 2011, and based on the evidence provided.

The Governance Officer presented the key elements from the report and highlighted the main points, based on the statutory criteria set out in the Localism Act 2011, and the evidence provided in the nomination.

 

Members were requested to note that an application was received on 29 July for a community right to bid for this Lord Nelson Public House from Mr Andrew Robinson who has made the application on behalf of 33 local residents.

 

Mr Andrew Robinson was in attendance and gave a verbal representation in support of the application.   Ward Members Councillor Zahra Beg and Councillor Tim Roberts gave a verbal representation in support of the application.

 

Members had the opportunity to consider the report and ask questions to the speaker.  In doing so it was noted that Mr Andrew Robinson was a member of Campaign for Real Ale.   Mr Andrew Robinson noted that there were some supporting groups that were constituted.

 

 

The Sub Committee RESOLVED unanimously:

 

That the Committee approved the listing of the Lord Nelson as an Asset of Community Value, based on the statutory criteria set out in the Localism Act 2011, and the evidence provided in the nomination.
