Officer’s Decision:

That the proposal by Barnet Hill Academy to become a voluntary aided school, is approved subject to the following modification:

Implementation – the date on which it is proposed that the school be opened is 1 September 2023 with a planned admission number of 60 for the reception year.

And subject to the following conditions being met prior to the implementation date:

1.    The proposer acquires the premises at 10a Montagu Road, Hendon, Barnet NW4 3ES on a leasehold title of a minimum term of 125 years at a peppercorn rent.

2.    The proposer  acquires playing fields within walking distance of the school, including by entering into a shared use agreement with another local school, such playing fields to meet the requirements of the School Premises (England) Regulations 2012

3.    The proposer provides detailed plans to create a MUGA on the school site within five years from the date of the proposal, including funding plans, such plans to be agreed by the Executive Director of Children and Families prior to the implementation date.

The Local Authority has consulted with the proposer regarding the above modification and conditions and these have already been agreed between both parties
