Hippodrome GG
We the undersigned petition the council to To withhold planning permission to convert the Hippodrome at Golders Green into a mosque until after the consultation on the development of Golders Green TownCentre has been completed .
There are too many local factors activating against this change of use of building which will seriously affect the area. We need joined up thinking on change of use which will affect the services etc in the neighbourhood.
The future of Golders Green is currently being considered One of
the aspects which needs to be addressed is a cultural centre for
the diverse community in this end of the borough. The Hippodrome
would be an ideal location for this.
We need places to bring people together, not to segregate
thelm.
