Re-start the collection of kitchen waste after 3 years of inaction

We the undersigned petition the council to To re-start the collection of kitchen waste stopped in 2018 with no further action by the Council despite three warnings from the Mayor of London

Barnet Council stopped the collection of kitchen waste in 2018. It ignored three warnings of the Mayor of London and pretended to engage in consultations with stakeholders with zero effect. The Council has some of the worst green credentials in the capital (see articles in the Guardian re its opposition to greener no-car zones in London). Food waste collection is an excellent way to reduce household waste and to turn it into compost that can be used by local allotments and other organisations. We urge the Council to reverse its misguided decision and resume food waste collection with immediate effect.
