We the undersigned who live in Cattley Close are finding it increasingly difficult to park our own cars in the residential part of our street as it is a CPZ area and cars who live in adjoining streets are using Cattley Close instead of parking outside their own front doors anymore.
On several, occasions, many residents have had to vacate their own driveways or spaces due to contractors who need to park to service their homes, and there has been nowhere to leave our own cars since Cattley Close is now full of non-residents. Now that High Barnet Station no longer has a car park and Barnet High Street has fewer spaces, our road is being used to fulfil those vacancies. Clearly, leaving our cars on a yellow line is not an option.
Signature Homes who will be finished with the development in the Autumn of 2021, have advised that the parking situation will become worse once they open, notwithstanding that they will have their own car park. The entrance of the Senior Living Home is in Cattley Close itself and the CPZ parking is adjacent to the entrance. We would be more than happy to buy parking vouchers for visitors as other boroughs successfully provide. Clear new parking restriction signage would be imperative.
We would like to see the parking in Cattley Close just for the residents of Cattley Close and propose that the parking regulations be adjusted to achieve this.
