 The site is owned freehold by the Council. The properties fall within the Brent Cross/Cricklewood Regeneration Area and the grant of a new short term lease, excluded from the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, enables possession to be achieved on expiry in a timely manner.

11/05/2017 - Bus Stop Clearway - Review of Consultation responses March 2017 ref: 6678    Recommendations Approved

Transport for London (TfL), as part of the London Bus Stop Accessibility programme, aim to improve accessibility at bus stops and to implement Bus Stop Clearways to allow buses to pull in adjacent to the kerb and bus shelters.

 

Following consultation with residents objections to the implementation of the bus stop clearway markings have been received regarding No. 16 bus stops.  This report outlines the details of the individual objections and the proposed action to be taken in each bus stop location.

14/08/2017 - Granville Road - N12 - Safety Review Consultation responses June 2017 ref: 6677    Recommendations Approved

Finchley and Golders Green Area Committee requested a safety review of Granville Road, N12 following concerns from local residents that there were footway pedestrian safety issues in the area. Residents were consulted during a site meeting the determine their requirements and a design was produced making use of past collision data, site observations and info gathered.

 

The feasibility design proposals were distributed for consultation in June 2017 with a letter to local residents and councillors to provide their comments.

 

Following consultation with residents, objections were received regarding the waiting restriction changes. This report outlines the details of the individual objections and the proposed action to be taken.

15/08/2017 - Summerside School Academy Conversion: Commercial Transfer Agreement and Lease of the School Premises ref: 6676    Recommendations Approved

Summerside School, a Community School, has been approved by the Secretary of State to convert to an Academy as part of a multi-academy trust (Reach2 Academy Trust). As part of the conversion process, the Council is required to grant a lease of the land and buildings used by Summerside School to the Academy Trust in the terms of the model long term Department for Education Academy Lease and this report sets out the main terms.

The Council, the Governing Body of the School, and the Academy Trust are also required to execute a Commercial Transfer Agreement, which includes information relating to: (i) any employees of the Council or the Governing Body who are assigned to the School and who will transfer from the employment of the Governing Body or the Local Authority to the new Academy Trust; and (ii) assets and contracts which will transfer from the Local Authority or the Governing Body to the new Academy Trust, together with other rights and obligations of the Council or the Governing Body.
