Minutes:

The Chair agreed to hear the applications in the following order:

 

North Finchley Pond and Wildlife Garden (Northside Primary School) – Councillor Danny Rich


Councillor Rich introduced the item.

 

The Vice Chair of Governors and Northside Primary School Ambassadors presented the item and benefits of the scheme.

 

Further to a discussion, the Committee voted unanimously to approve the application.

 

RESOLVED

1.     That the Area Committee consider the requests as highlighted in section 1 of the report.

2.     That the Area Committee award full funding of £50,000 and any conditions attached and note the implications to the Committee’s NCIL funding budget.

Northway & Fletchers Gardens and Lyttleton Playing Fields) – Councillor Michael Mire

 

Councillor Mire presented the item and highlighted the benefits of the scheme.

 

Further to a discussion, the Committee voted unanimously to approve the application.

 

RESOLVED

1.     That the Area Committee consider the requests as highlighted in section 1 of the report.

2.     That the Committee award full funding of £58,482 and any conditions attached and note the implications to the Committee’s NCIL funding budget.

Finchley Victoria Bowling and Croquet Community Club – Councillor Ross Houston

 

Gary Bargroff presented the item and highlighted the benefits of the scheme.

 

Councillor Houston added that the club was used by several community groups and it would also have a positive impact on health.

 

Further to a discussion, the Committee voted unanimously to approve the application.

 

RESOLVED

1.     That the Area Committee consider the requests as highlighted in section 1 of the report.

2.     That the Area Committee award full funding of £3,625.27 and any conditions attached and note the implications to the Committee’s NCIL funding budget.

Stephen’s House and Gardens – Councillor Jennifer Grocock

 

Councillor Grocock introduced the item.

 

Malcolm Godfrey highlighted the benefits of the scheme.

Further to a discussion, the Committee voted unanimously to approve the application.

 

RESOLVED

1.     That the Area Committee consider the requests as highlighted in section 1 of the report.

2.     That the Area Committee award full funding of £94,045.10 and any conditions attached and note the implications to the Committee’s NCIL funding budget.

Councillor Mire left the meeting at 7.40pm.

 

Phoenix Cinema – Councillor Arjun Mittra

 

Councillor Mittra presented the item and highlighted the benefits of the scheme.

Further to a discussion, the Committee voted unanimously to approve the application.

2.     That the Area Committee award full funding of £40,000 and any conditions attached and note the implications to the Committee’s NCIL funding budget.

 

Friends of Finchley Way Open Space – Councillor Kath McGuirk

 

Suzanne King presented the item and highlighted the benefits of the scheme.

Further to a discussion, the Committee voted unanimously to approve the application.

 

RESOLVED

1.     That the Area Committee consider the requests as highlighted in section 1 of the report.

2.     That the Area Committee award full funding of £6,059.84 and any conditions attached and note the implications to the Committee’s NCIL funding budget.

Coppetts Wood and Glebelands – Councillor Pauline Coakley Webb

Photos of the Coppetts Wood Local Nature Reserve and site plan were shared at the meeting.

 

Councillor Coakley Webb introduced the item.

 

Petra Schade presented the item and highlighted the benefits of the scheme.

Further to a discussion, the Committee voted unanimously to approve the application.

 

RESOLVED

1.     That the Area Committee consider the requests as highlighted in section 1 of the report.

2.     That the Area Committee award full funding of £50,497.20 and any conditions attached and note the implications to the Committee’s NCIL funding budget.

Shomrim – Councillor Dean Cohen

 

Councillor Cohen introduced the item and cross ward application.

 

The Chair invited volunteers of the Shomrim’s Emergency Response Team to respond to questions from the Committee.

Further to a discussion, the Committee voted unanimously to approve the application.

 

RESOLVED

1.     That the Area Committee consider the requests as highlighted in section 1 of the report.

2.     That the Area Committee award full funding of £63,500 and any conditions attached and note the implications to the Committee’s NCIL funding budget.

Market Place Playground, N2 – Councillor Claire Farrier

 

Councillor Mittra presented the item on behalf of Cllr Farrier.

 

Further to a discussion, the Committee voted unanimously to approve the application.

 

RESOLVED
