Disclosable Pecuniary interests and Non Pecuniary interests

Minutes:

Councillor Antony Finn and Councillor Mark Shooter made a Non-Pecuniary declaration and stated that they were a Member of the Barnet Pension Fund. Councillor Finn and Councillor Shooter therefore took part in the consideration and voting process in all listed agenda items. Councillor Peter Zinkin,

 

Councillor Arjun Mitra and Councillor Mark Shooter declared a non-pecuniary Interest by virtue that they have shareholdings in companies that the fund had invested in.

Mr George Bruce gave an overview of the report.  He noted that the report outlined a recommendation to invest with London CIV’s private debt fund that was deferred from the last meeting on 24 February meeting in order for Hymans Robertson’s review of the fund to be completed. 

 

Representatives from Hymans Robertson provided the Pension Fund Committee with an in-depth analysis of the fund.  The advice provided to Members was presented within an exempt session.   Members had the opportunity to consider the report and its enclosures in depth.

 

Members had the opportunity to comment on the report and ask questions to both Officers of the Council and Representatives from Hymans Robertson.

 

Resolved:

 

-        That the Pension Fund Committee agree to commit £60 million to the LCIV Private Debt Fund.

-        That the Exempt information be noted
