Decision details

On 3 October 2019 Policy and Resources Committee approved the appointment of Volker Fitzpatrick as the preferred bidder to design, build and handback the Brent Cross West Station and Vinci Taylor Woodrow as reserve bidder.  The Committee authorised the Deputy Chief Executive in consultation with the Chairman of the Committee 1) to finalise and enter into the NEC3 contract to deliver the Brent Cross West Station with the preferred bidder and 2) enters into an Asset Protection Agreement with Network Rail for the provision of support to the project including booking of possessions, design approvals and acceptance into service of the completed Brent Cross West station. Following completion of the OJEU standstill period and in accordance with the Committee approval, this report authorises entering into both contracts.  

1)    That the council proceeds to enter into an NEC3 ECC Option C contract (target price contract with activity schedule) with VolkerFitzpatrick Limited for the design, construction and handover of the Brent Cross West station;

2)    That the council proceeds to enter into an Asset Protection Agreement with Network Rail for the provision of asset protection services to the project.
