Education

I first came to live in L B Barnet (Golders Green) in 1965 and attended a local grammar school. After graduating (B.Sc. Honours Applied Chemistry) in the UK I went to Canada for my post graduate (MBA). I am a fellow member of AAT (FMAAT) and have CIPFA Diploma.

Work Experience

My work experience covers both private sector and public sector in the UK and abroad and retired from full time employment in June 2010.

LGPS Knowledge and Understanding

I gained knowledge and understanding Local Government Pension Scheme though

·         internal audits of LGPS Administration, LA Pension Fund and LA Treasury Management of a London Borough over many years

·         attending as staff observer on a Superannuation Panel and later onto a Pension Fund Committee of a London Borough which I had to give up when I was appointed acting Head of Internal Audit and Ethical Governance

To further support my knowledge and understanding of LGPS I have successfully completed the Public Service toolkit on The Pensions Regulator website. The toolkit required completing tutorial, case study and assessment on 7 modules..
