Lichfield Grove Surgery Increase in parking restriction
We the undersigned petition the council to Consider the impact of the proposed changes to the parking restrictions on patients at the practice.
The current times are Mon- Fri 2pm to 3pm.
The proposed times are 10am to 4pm Monday-Saturday.
The practice is open Mon- Fri 08:30am-6:30pm
and looks after 6000+ patients.
The proposed hours would impact on patient access to healthcare; this could potentially increase patient demands for appointments after 4pm which could in turn increase traffic and parking between 4pm and 6:30pm.
Many patients are only able to attend GP services if they travel by car. This is true not only of those who have reduced mobility but for those who have young families too. The patients with cars typically stay from 5-30 minutes.
The practice has been providing a local service for local people
for over 45 years. Accessible healthcare is important
