CPZ requirement on Winnington Road
We the undersigned petition the council to Create a CPZ scheme which will alleviate the issue of residents very often finding it difficult or impossible to park on the upper side of Winnington Road (both sides of the road from 61 Winnington Road upwards towards Hampstead Lane.
Many commercial vehicles use the upper part of Winnington Road for long or medium term parking. This part of the road is also often used by commuters who walk to Hampstead or even Golders Green tube station once they park their cars. Some vehicles have been parked there for many months and some will only be parked there for a day full day. In addition, several of the vehicles that continually park there are vans or larger vehicles that take up more than 1 or 2 typically sized spaces. The combination of long term and commuter vehicles has meant that it is often extremely difficult for Residents living on Winnington Road or their guests, to find on street parking. If the council imposes a CPZ scheme whereby cars cannot park from 59 Winnington Road upwards (without a permit) during the week for just 1 hour in the morning, the parking issues for residents will be alleviated dramatically and approximately 20 spaces used by drivers for long term parking alone will again be available to Residents. It has become unbearable for Residents to find parking conveniently on the upper end of Winnington Road and myself and many other Residents now seek a solution via a CPZ scheme.
