This report seeks authority for the direct purchase of properties for use as part of the Housing Acquisition programme:

 

1.    To authorise the private treaty acquisition at a purchase price of £240,000 for 23 Morris Court, Enfield, London, EN3 6GX with associated costs as mentioned in this report, and Heads of Terms to

be agreed in respect of this property.

 

2.    To authorise the private treaty acquisition at a purchase price of £230,000 for 99B Elsinge Road, Enfield, EN1 4PE in accordance with associated costs as mentioned in this report, and Heads of Terms to be agreed in respect of this property.

19/03/2018 - Street Scene Fees and Charges increasing broadly in line with inflation, for 2018/2019 ref: 6862    Recommendations Approved

This report seeks Chief Officer approval of fees and charges for 2018/19 that are to change broadly in line with the rate of inflation (3%) or less or not at all.

14/10/2016 - Brent Cross Cricklewood, Phase 1N Approval in Principle Documents for New River Bridges No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and Spalding Road Retaining Wall ref: 6860    Recommendations Approved

Approval in Principal documents cover the selection of bridge type, the materials for its construction and methods of analysis and design to be adopted.

River bridges Nos. 1 to 8 will provide new crossings of the diverted River Brent.

The Spalding Road Retaining Wall will support the re-aligned Spalding Road.

The designs based on these Approval in Principal documents will be reviewed as part of the S278/S38 Agreement process to be signed with developer Hammerson Standard Life.

08/03/2016 - Award of Film Liaison Services concession contract to FilmFixer ref: 6861    Recommendations Approved

Following authorisation by the Policy and Resources Committee to carry out a procurement process for Film Liaison Services This report seeks authorisation to award a contract to FilmFixer to provide the Council’s film liaison services concession contract for a three-year period from 1 April 2018 to 29 March 2021, with the option to extend for a further two years. This follows authorisation from the Policy and Resources Committee on 5 December 2017 for the procurement process to proceed as per the procurement forward plan considered by the committee.

Decision:

1.     Authorisation to award the Film Liaison Services Concession Contract to FilmFixer, in consultation with the Chairman of Policy and Resources Committee. The contract will be for a period of three years, with the option to extend for a further two years.

2.     Note that following this decision, a mobilisation plan will begin with the intention of the contract going live by 1 April 2018.

 


14/03/2018 - Purchase of Refuse Collection Vehicles X 4 through Lot 1 of the NEPO HGV Purchase Framework and Contract award for spare parts and maintenance for these vehicles. ref: 6857    Recommendations Approved

To award the contract for the supply of 26 tonne Refuse Collection Vehicles x 4 as per the specification issued through the Lot 1 of the North East Purchasing Organisation (NEPO) framework for purchase of HGV, with total contract value up to £841,000.  The specification was released by NEPO Contract Management team to the supplier to confirm that London Borough of Barnet’s requirement could be facilitated under the framework provision.  NEPO HGV Purchase Framework is OJEU compliant.

1.   Authorise the Transport Services to award the contract to S&B Commercials Plc for the purchase of 26t Refuse Collection Vehicles  x 4 as per the specification issued through the NEPO HGV Purchase framework, with total contract value up to  £841,000.

2.   Authorise the Transport Service to award the contract for spare parts and maintenance of vehicles to the following suppliers for a period of 7 years through NEPO HGV Purchase framework:

A)    S & B Commercials Plc with total spend of up to £90,000  

B)    Dennis Eagle Ltd with spend of up to £80,000

16/02/2017 - Brent Cross Cricklewood Regeneration: Thameslink Station Design ref: 6858    Recommendations Approved

To authorise entry into a Development Services Agreement (DSA) between the Council and Network Rail for the next stage of design development (GRIP4) for the new Thameslink Station, commencing mid February 2017 and completing April 2018. Authorisation will allow continuation of the design programme associated with the delivery of the Thameslink Station to be undertaken along with Network Rail Project Management & Sponsor time, including for Project Management, Early Contractor involvement, Commercial, Engineering and Planning resource.
