Minutes:

RESOLVED that the minutes of the meeting held on 14 July 2016, be approved as a correct record.

Chairman's Statement

The Chairman informed the Committee that Barnet Homes had requested, that due to the need to consider the extent of proposed affordable housing provision, it had been requested that the following items be withdrawn from this meeting:

9 – Crispin Road;

10 – Garage Site, West Close;

11 – Garages Off Salcombe Gardens;

12 – Land Adjacent to 106-108 Mount Pleasant;

14 – Reets Farm Close Garages.

The Chairman also paid tribute to Joe Henry thanking him for his courtesy and assistance over the years, as Joe was leaving the authority. These sentiments were endorsed by Members present.

Finally, the running order of the agenda was changed, as reflected in these minutes.

Councillor Melvin Cohen	Agenda Item 5, 290-294 Golders Green - declared a non-pecuniary interest with regard to this item, as the applicant was known to him. Councillor Cohen had previously taken advice from the Monitoring Officer and was advised that it was acceptable for him to speak and vote.
Councillor Mark Shooter	Agenda Item 5, 290-294 Golders Green – declared a non-pecuniary interest Councillor Shooter knew the applicant.
Councillor Mark Shooter	Agenda Item 15, St. Marys Church of England High School – non-pecuniary interest, as former Governor of the school. However, Councillor Shooter declared that he would leave the room and not partake or vote when this item was considered.
Councillor Hugh Rayner	Agenda item 5, 290-294 Golders Green – declared non-pecuniary interest as Councillor Rayner knew the applicant.
Councillor Hugh Rayner	Agenda item 8, Belmont Riding Centre – declared a non-pecuniary interest as Councillor Rayner knew the applicant, but had also discussed matters in general with the applicant. Consequently, Councillor Rayner declared that he would leave the room and would not partake or vote when the item was considered.
Councillor Maureen Braun	Agenda Item 5, 290-294 Golders Green – declared a non-pecuniary interest, but the applicant was a friend of the Councillor Braun’s. Consequently, Councillor Braun declared that she would leave the room and would not partake or vote when the item was considered.
Councillor Claire Farrier	Agenda item 8, Belmont Riding Centre – declared a non-pecuniary interest as Councillor Farrier was a frequent visitor to the Centre and her Granddaughter attended riding lessons at the Centre.
Councillor Sury Khatri	Agenda Item 5, 290-294 Golders Green – Declared a non-pecuniary interest as met applicant at Conservative Association.
Councillor Sury Khatri	Agenda Item 8, Belmont Farm – Declared a non-pecuniary interest as the applicant was Vice-Chairman of Conservative Association.
