Emma Phasey, Group Manager Community Protection (Regulation), introduced the report which sought approval from Members to consult on the 2017-2022 draft policy in relation to sex establishments and sex entertainment venues policy following review of the current one.

 

The Committee had the opportunity to comment on the policy.

 

RESOLVED That the Committee authorise the Licensing Department to consult on the draft Policy at Appendix 1.

Minutes:

Emma Phasey, Group Manager Community Protection (Regulation), introduced the report which sought approval from Members to adopt the 2017-2022 draft policy in relation to film classification.

 

The Committee had the opportunity to comment on the policy and noted that there was a minor error at section 5.3, which was corrected to read;

 

‘If their decision is unanimous in relation to the classification that classification will be applied.  Should the Officer and the Councillor be unable to reach consensus then the classification for that film will be referred to the Licensing Sub Committee’

 

 

RESOLVED That the Committee approve the Draft Policy at Appendix 1, subject to the amendment noted above.

Minutes:

Emma Phasey, Group Manager Community Protection (Regulation), introduced the report which sought approval from Members to consult on the draft policy in relation to firework licences.

 

The Committee had the opportunity to comment on the policy and ask the Officer questions regarding its implementation

 

RESOLVED That the Committee authorise the Licensing team to commence a consultation on the draft policy for fireworks licences.

Emma Phasey, Group Manager Community Protection (Regulation), introduced the report and supplement which sought approval from Members to consult on the proposed fees in relation to street trading licences.

 

The Committee had the opportunity to comment on the policy.

 

RESOLVED That the Committee authorise the Licensing team to commence a consultation on the proposed new fees for street trading.
