BARNET HEALTH AND WELLBEING STRATEGY CONSULTATION


The Chairman of the Hendon Residents’ Forum, Councillor Sury Khatri welcomed all attendants to the meeting.

 

The Community Participation, Engagement and Strategy Lead, Sara Elias-Bassett informed the Forum about the Barnet Health and Wellbeing Strategy which is open for consultation until 25 October 2015.

 

It was noted that residents were able to take part in the consultation and the Forum was informed that hard copies of the consultation were available in the room and that the consultation is accessible online under Barnet Council’s Engage Space.

1.    PARKING VOUCHERS AND BLUE BADGE MISUSE (Montagu Road)

There were no supplementary questions in relation to this issue, the Forum noted the response provided by the Officers as set out in the published Issues and Responses list.

2.    20MPH SPEED LIMIT (High Street, Mill Hill, NW7)

Submitted by: Mr Richard Logue

The Forum noted the written response in relation to this issue as set out in the Issues list. Mr Mike Fisher, a representative for Richard Logue, Chair of Mill Hill Residents Association, raised a query about the time scales and scope of the implementation of a 20mph scheme through the School Travel Plan.

 

In relation to the timescales, Lisa Wright, Traffic and Development Manager for Highways informed the Forum that a consultation procedure would follow involving residents and schools.

 

Furthermore, the Forum was informed that in relation to timescales, a feasibility study of the Scheme would be undertaken in the current financial year and that the implementation of the Scheme would be added to the Highway Works programme for  2016/17 and be part of the report to the Environment Committee meeting in the new year.

3.    STREET SCENE/ CONTAINERS (Mill Hill Broadway etc)

The Forum noted the written response provided by Street Scene in relation to this matter and which also noted that the Enforcement and Investigation Officer will continue to monitor the Broadway after collection day to ensure all are complying with their duty of care in storing and disposing of waste correctly. There were no further supplementary questions.

4.    FLOODING (Silkstream)
